Our pastor was born in Nashville, TN and raised under the direction of godly parents, Bishop Fred A. and Mother Irma Settles. At the age of 16, he received the baptism of the Holy Ghost; shortly thereafter, he became a member of the Original Christ Temple (OCT) Church of Old Hickory, TN under the pastorate of Bishop William Johnson. His pastor instilled in him principles of hard work, integrity, holy living, and a love for praising God! While at the OCT, he served in the capacity of Sunday school teacher, Missionary chairman, Choir Director, and Organist. It was also here, at the age of 18, that he preached his first sermon.
In 1994, he and his family relocated to Jackson, MS and joined fellowship with the Greater Bethlehem Temple Church (GBTC), under the pastorate of Bishop Dr. Phillip Coleman. Pastor Settles faithfully served GBTC as Youth Leader for 4 years, and Worship and Praise Leader for over 8 years. The years spent in Jackson, MS saw Pastor Settles grow in his preaching and teaching ministry, thanks in large part to the direction of his pastor, Bishop Coleman. His unique style of Praise and Worship endeared him to the hearts of the congregation.
Currently, Pastor Settles serves as the Assistant Treasurer for the National Youth Conference of the PCAF, and is honored to be the founder and Pastor of The Living Word Worship Center in Murfreesboro, TN. But of all the roles and titles, he cherishes the roles of Child of God, Husband, and Father the most.
He has been married to the lovely Deirdra Settles for 17 years and together they have 4 children, 2 handsome sons, and 2 beautiful daughters.
Pastor Settles has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 19 years and is a man of Prayer, Faith, and Action!
